South Jersey Guitar Repair is the premiere resource for guitar repair and custom building in the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. We are located in Collingswood, NJ, just minutes from the Walt Whitman or Ben Franklin bridge.
Guitar repair and building is handled by owner and founder Peter Brown. Pete attended Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2001, where he learned the newest techniques for building and repairing guitars and basses. After leaving Roberto-Venn, he secured jobs working at various repair shops in Bucks County and Central New Jersey. Here at South Jersey Guitar Repair, Pete applies his skills and expertise primarily to fretwork, setups, reconstructive/restoration work. He has performed repairs on vintage and new instruments alike (such as a 1922 Dobro, and various older Martins, to present day guitars such as PRS, Gibsons, Fenders, and Taylors).
While all repairs are handled by Peter Brown, inlays are handled by Christopher Bayley. Chris is a jeweler by trade and has an uncanny nack for inlaying. His work is as precise as it is beautiful. Only the finest abalone, mother of pearl, semi-precious stones, and other quality materials are used for inlays.
